This Newly-combined department orginates from "Department of Electrical Engineering" and "Dep. of Electronic Eng.". It has been set up for the demand of newly developing innovation and technology as well as interdisciplinary fields of science. The Department covers wide areas such as power generation, transmission and distribution engineering, electrical and electronic device engineering, control engineering, transmission and processing of information, communication engineering, and computer engineering.

The Department's curriculum is designed to meet the need for engineers welltrained in both fields of power and electronics and theoretical and practical areas of electronic devices. The Department has four main courses: Electromagnetic Foundamentals, Electronic Device Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, and Electronic System Engineering.

System Identification and Prameter Estimation including Electrical Insulaion
Improvement of Characteristics of Electric Devices
Development of Electric Machines, and Magnetic Fields Analysis of Electromagnetics Machines by Finite Element Method and Boundary Element Method Application of Electrostatic, espesially Analysis of Electric Fields
Plasma Diagnostic and Electrostic Percipitation
Acoustics (Acoustical Instruments, Underwater sound, Noise Measurements and Control)
Physics of Superconducting Materials and Application to Electronic Devices Power Source
Electromagnetic Direct/Inverse Scattering and Radar Polarimetry
Speech Information Processing including Recognition, Synthesis, and Noise Reduction
