This Newly-combined department orginates from "Department of Electrical Engineering" and "Dep. of Electronic Eng.". It has been set up for the demand of newly developing innovation and technology as well as interdisciplinary fields of science. The Department covers wide areas such as power generation, transmission and distribution engineering, electrical and electronic device engineering, control engineering, transmission and processing of information, communication engineering, and computer engineering.

The Department's curriculum is designed to meet the need for engineers welltrained in both fields of power and electronics and theoretical and practical areas of electronic devices. The Department has four main courses: Electromagnetic Foundamentals, Electronic Device Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, and Electronic System Engineering.
